The Spark That Lit the Fire
I’m Sahas Singh — and like many kids who grew up with a curious mind and a love for history, I was obsessed with shows like Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, and Restoration Garage on History TV18. Watching Rick Harrison negotiate with charm, Darrell Sheets gamble on mystery lockers, and Mike Hall breathe life back into rusted machines gave me a thrill that no classroom ever could.
The intense bids, the surprise finds, the fights over forgotten items — it all felt so alive.
But one thought never left me:
“In a country as rich in culture and legacy as India… why don’t we have something like this?”
I looked everywhere — online, offline — and realized something heartbreaking: India doesn’t have a mainstream space where people can buy or sell genuinely unique, rare, or emotional items with trust and story at the center.
And for someone like me, just 18, with a small budget but a big dream — there was no easy way in.
So I created one.
The Birth of UNIQUESA
The name UNIQUESA didn’t come from a branding firm. It came from the streets. From everyday people.
“Bhaiya, kuch unique sa dikhao.”
“Yaar, bandi ko kuch unique sa gift karna hai.”
That phrase — kuch unique sa — echoed in my head. And suddenly, I had it.
UNIQUESA — a place where “unique sa” things live.
